Social Studies Lessons

Grade 4/5

Subject: Social studies (Early Societies) and drama

Date: April 2023

Description: In this dynamic and memorable lesson, students brought history to life by acting out stories from ancient civilizations. Working in small groups, they selected or created short skits based on what they had learned about early societies such as Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Mesopotamia. Students collaborated to script and perform their scenes using dramatic expression, movement, and historical imagination. This cross-curricular activity fostered creativity, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of life in ancient times—all while having a lot of fun!
