Coaching & Extracurriculars

Building school spirit and student confidence extends far beyond the classroom. This section showcases my contributions to school life through coaching, clubs, and extracurricular involvement. Whether I’m running yoga sessions, coaching ultimate frisbee, or supporting student trips, I believe these moments foster growth, connection, and lifelong memories.

During my first year at Ste. Cecile (2024-2025), I coached both cross country and ultimate frisbee.
What I loved most was watching students grow — not just in their athletic skills, but in their self-confidence and friendships. I believe sports help foster a lifelong love of fitness and community, and I’m proud to have played a small part in that journey.

As part of Activity Period, I led yoga and acro yoga sessions for students.
We practiced in the school’s dance studio and also partnered with a local gym. Students explored mindfulness and breathwork, learned traditional asanas (yoga poses), improved their flexibility, and built both courage and camaraderie through acro yoga. It was a joyful way to support both physical and emotional well-being.

In March 2025, I helped supervise a week-long service trip to Camp Qwanoes in British Columbia. Staff and students spent their days assisting with cleaning, maintenance, and groundskeeping to help keep the camp running smoothly. During evenings and rest days, we enjoyed hiking, snowboarding, and skiing in the stunning natural setting of B.C. This trip gave students the opportunity to earn volunteer hours while developing practical life skills, teamwork, and a deeper connection with nature.

In December 2024, our school held a can drive to support local food banks. Each class participated in a “Canstruction” competition, where students built creative structures out of their collected cans before donating them. My class built a giant piece of sushi — a fun and collaborative project that encouraged creativity, teamwork, and community service.
