Faculty of Education Coursework

For my Bachelor of Education, I went to the University of Windsor. There, the Faculty of Education helps teacher candidates to put theory into practice, and reflect on oneself as a teacher. I value the learning that came from this coursework, and so I have included samples of my work in my portfolio.

Math doodle assignment for EDUC5315 Mathematics Methodology. This assignment focused on teaching a math concept in a procedural and conceptual manner. Visuals, colours, and a baking theme are used throughout to engage learners.


Assignment for EDUC5311A Visual Arts: My art portfolio. This is a collection of possible art lessons for a primary/junior classroom.


Rubric for EDUC5315 Mathematics Methodology. This rubric is for assessing student learning, based on the five strands of mathematics proficiency: conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, strategic competence, adaptive reasoning, and productive disposition


STEM lesson for Science (EDUC5317). This lesson is a cross-curricular STEM lesson that integrates the properties of liquids and solids with probability and measurement. Students will be making ice cream to see how cream (a liquid) can change into ice cream (a semi-solid) under different conditions.


Portfolio for EDUC5313 Health and Physical Education. This portfolio includes gym and health lesson plans, long range plans, assessments, and reflections.


Inquiry task for Math (EDUC5315). This is a rich inquiry-based task that fosters students’ creativity, investigation, analysis, and conjecture.


EDUC5315: Theory of mathematics teaching and academic reading summaries. During this course, we were invited to reflect on and discuss concepts and ideas related to mathematics education. This assignment aimed to summarize these concepts and ideas visually on a map.
